There is a serious lack of decent speakers on christianity of late. Also, pudding, but that's a discussion for another time. I tend to surf various sites that discuss apologetics and the like, and it seems to me that there really aren't many really good writers on the matter anymore. At least, not quite on the level of people such as C.S. Lewis and G.K. Chesterton, for these two people I find quoted often, and with good cause. Both men have been dead for a good many years now, and there seems to be a lack of really thoughtful stuff like that of which they wrote.

I suppose I can understand this though, given the way education is anymore. Man alive, but people like C.S. Lewis had amazing educations. Our society lacks in this anymore. It tends to focus more on being and teaching p.c. crap rather than actually educating us. And the bustle of things really gives little time to truly sit down and contemplate. My physics teacher once told us of how Newton came up with the most brilliant of things when his college shut down and he had to go live on his farm for a few years. He said that those years of nothing but thinking were more productive than anything he ever did after that. Life anymore is not built for those who would like to slow down and think. I can't imagine just how much valuable brain space ads alone take up and clutter up.

There are some rather good writers on the subject of christianity, to be sure, but I don't know, they don't seem to have the spread that some of the older ones do. Perhaps it is merely a matter of time.
