The New York Burrito was closed today for some reason. Which is odd for a weekday. Hope everything's okay there. Anyway, I came home and decided to go to Quiznoes for lunch with ma mere. Apparently Heather's brother works there. He's a cool guy and even personally brought out our lunches for us. Heather's whole family rocks.
After, we went over to Hastings for a bit, and somehow ended up with mom buying a few things, which is always keen. I got DC Talk's Supernatural, a Wolverine collected thing called The End (he's old, it's around 2100, though one can barely tell, and he gets to meet and fight with his older brother), and the first volume of Jesus Freaks for $4, which was awesome. I looked for the Wolverine graphic that was there before where you get to find out his origin and his original name and whatnot, but it wasn't there. Good thing I read the whole thing when last I had the chance. Jesus Freaks is an awesome book too. It's basically the Fox(sp?)'s book of martyrs, but with recent stories. It also throws in some of the older stories, such as a few of the apostle's moments. We tend not to hear of all the recent events where christians are martyred, and there stories are always inspirational to me. I mean, these people have hideously painful and uncalled for deaths, yet they so often go to their deaths with smiles, songs of joy, and praising God. I've always thought that so cool.
