I'm not quite into the summer break feel of things quite yet. It's like I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, and I don't even know what the first shoe was... But anyway, I am enjoying it for the most part so far. I already miss some of my group things that have stopped for the summer, but at least some of my friends are still in town. Now, whether or not I'll ever work up to doing things with the remaining ones is another matter entirely. For some reason, I'm a complete wank when it comes to working up the nerve to either drop in on people or setting up group things. I'm not sure why that is, but tis something I must definitely work on.
I've started up on Final Fantasy X again this week and I am determined that I will finally get around to beating it. After this long an absence from a game I tend to start over again, but then, as with almost all the other FFs I've played, I end up near the end again and just stop. So this time I started from a save near the end and I must say, it's quite fun. Having everyone already beefed up in ability and weapons and whatnot, it's really quite fun. Though I have forgotten a bit of the story, which I hate and is why I usually start over. It's fun to have all my characters going into each other's areas now too, although not having enough level keys is annoying. I must say this though, Anima is the freaking sweetest summons yet. I prefer the look of Bahamut, but Anima does freaking sweet amounts of damage.
In the reading department, I've been reading a few C.S. Lewis books, two of which I bought and two I got from the college library (and must be darn sure to get them back in time or face the wrath of sky high monetary fees). I just finished The Weight of Glory and have moved on to The Pilgrim's Regress, which is definitely interesting. It's done much like the Pilgrim's Progress, but it addresses many different things. Very cool. I have ordered the next Malazan Book of the Fallen from Borders a week or so ago and that should be coming in sooner or later. They actually sent me an email yesterday that wanted to inform me that they hadn't forgotten about me, which I found highly amusing. Apparently they sometimes have "difficulties" getting a hold of certain books they say they have. Heh.
