Spiffy day today. Two things to speak of, one of which I've forgotten, but which I'm sure I'll remember as soon as I can't do anything about it. But any, the other, bigger thing is that I got myself a brand spanking new laptop today. Twas an early birthday present from my mother, who was feeling particularly generous. I took a few days to ponder the matter, and have ended up with a rather fetching Toshiba. It has a lovely blue-green exterior, and had pretty much everything one could want in a laptop. It has a 100 gig hard drive (which actually comes out to something like 92 gigs, but who's complaining?), good video card, 512 RAM, though I'm intending to order 512 more and having a gig of RAM. I also picked up a nifty optical mouse, though I've yet to try it out. Also a gig sized flash drive to move over all my important files from my desktop. I'm still getting used to using a laptop, but aside from this annoying thing where it mysteriously seems to keep tabbing backwards every few words, it's really quite nifty. I'm really going to have to find out why the the heck it keeps jumping like it does. Seriously, every few words it leaps around the screen and I can't quite figure out what the button(s) is/are that are doing it. We'll find out at some point I suppose. That, or I'll snap and go on a spree. They sound like fun.

Anyway, very much yay for the lappy.
