Every time I think I'm going to get off easy on books, bam. First book I got for school today was used for like $17. Not bad I thought. One down, three to go. Surely it can't be too bad, especially as I'm only getting language books, right? Loud claxons to the negative Man. My french book alone cost $134 and I get the feeling that a good portion of that is due to the "special" access we get to some stuff online through the cheap cd they throw in with it. Honestly. I'm always torn between finding each and every person responsible for making these things so expensive and beating them to death with their books, or just writing one or two of my own and raking in the cash. $306 for four books. Thankfully I'm still amused by the irony, and pure bastardry, of the whole situation, but still. I mean, $43 for a soft cover workbook? Outrageous. Such magnificent bastards.
