My book arrived in the mail today. It got here pretty quickly, for which I am grateful. Abebooks said it could take between 5-14 days, and I think it's been maybe four, so I'm glad. Now I can have the first chapter read for the bible study. From what I've read so far, it's quite a good book. Celebration of Discipline it's called. All about the basics of the christian faith that we tend to not do so much as we should. Meditation, fasting, prayer, all the good stuff.
I like the introduction even. In the first few pages, it speaks of how we need to be deeper people. Just the way it was explained spoke to me. I think I'll enjoy reading this book.
In other news, I think japanese just got a lot harder. We've been in the first chapter until now (the book has really big chapters, so there's only like four or five total), and most of it has been in english. Now though, a lot more of it is in japanese. I know my katakana and hiragana well enough, but I have to work at comprehending the symbols. I sound like a child sounding out each letter. Granted, we all do, but still. Looks like I'ma have to do a lot more work from now on. Joy.
