All things said and done, this was a pretty good christmas I must say. Although, I didn't get a lot of sleep for various reasons, so this morning I wasn't entirely lucid for all the gift opening stuff. It was fun though. Since my brother was here after missing the last few, we decided to do it up and get lots of gifts, many of them being for his baby. I did quite well myself too. I got the new Guitar Hero game, as well as the entire Monty Python Flying Circus dvd set, The Holy Grail, and many assorted gift cards to Borders and the like. I even got a rather fetching pair of Spiderman boxers, I quite like the look of.
After gifts, we all went down to my sister-in-law's house and spent the rest of the night there. It was quite fun, and they even had a big ol' turkey with the works for dinner, but without it being any big meal or anything. The whole day was just really casual with us all hanging out. Very cool.
On the downside, when we got home this evening, we found the dog lying in great pain near the foot of my parents' bed. We have no idea how long she was there and unable to move, which makes it all the worse. She could have been there for any number of hours. Her leg is hurt, though we're not exactly sure what happened. It may be sprained or out of socket or maybe even broken. All we know is she keeps yelping and shivers something fierce at times. We gave her some doggy pain killers, and mom's taking her to the vet tomorrow, so hopefully the dog will get all fixed up swiftly.
