Note the utter deluge of turgid sarcasm. Hehe, turgid always sounds dirty to me for some reason...
Anyway, I was just wondering, why is it that when middle eastern type countries protest things/people/countries, it's so often with signs that say, "Death to...."? I mean, I get being upset, but trying to get rid of something they don't like by going straight for death, I dunno, it seems rather insipid to me. Almost like they're working against themselves. Granted, some people have committed such atrocities that they deserve death, but in those cases, anyone who would protest are usually too busy being dead and murdered to make the point. It just seems to me that most "death to..." signs are not only overkill, but overboard. Not only is it too much, but I pretty much stop listening when they start wanting someone(s) to die.
Maybe that's just me though.
