I really hate applications.

Job applications that is. Everyone uses the same blasted personality/psych questions anymore, and I really, really hate them. I really hate that we're supposed to pick how strongly we agree or disagree when so many times I'm either straight in the middle (which has no such option), or really it depends on the situation. Blanket statements only work for certain questions, but for a lot of those psych questions, it seems a rather glaring error to ignore situational answers. Not only that, but some of those questions just don't make any sense to me. What the hell does, "I don't fake being polite", actually mean? Does it mean I'm naturally polite, so I don't have to pretend? Does it mean I don't care? Does it mean I'm not, but I fake it? And how would faking politeness really be terribly much different from actual politeness? I really hate taking job applications. Not to mention that they all use the exact same company with the exact same questions. I don't see why I can't just take a blanket application and send it to the various places I want to apply. I wouldn't mind answering company specific questions, but having to waste a half hour on the same exact confusing and aggravating questions from the same exact company is such a waste time.
