There's a loaded question if ever I wrote one. I write it because of my friends. Sometimes (read : often) I am very annoyed with my friends over their lack of responsibility and dependability in pretty much every situation in life. It is not okay to be flake. It is not okay to play loose and fast with appointments. Time is not everything, but it certainly is not nothing. When did it become the norm to not care about other people enough to keep to general rules of civility? When you set a time for something, you should keep it. When you set up a get together, then keep changing the times, that can be forgiven once or twice -- we understand that -- but when you then decide to leave for dinner right when people are showing up to said event...

If you can't guess, I had a thing tonight. I have to get up rather early tomorrow, so I could only have gone for an hour or so. However, when I arrived, one of my friends was just leaving, telling me that the friends who had set up the whole thing hadn't even left for dinner yet, and it would be at least another hour before the festivities. I'm not super mad, but it has only further pushed my buttons regarding the lack of general anything many of my friends seem to have. There is never an excuse for not thinking things through. We all have brains and can think with them. It is simple (I really want to add a multitude of expletives here, but I shall restrain myself) and utter foolishness and selfishness to act in such ways, and I must add that I utterly detest such behavior. I would call such behavior childish and juvenile, but age has little to do with true maturity. I have known many children far more mature than some people I know.

Bah, I say! Bah!

Me!
