I think that all the major points of Buffy, Smallville, and Angel have all been adequately discussed elsewhere, but I still have a few things I need to get off me mind. It's me mind, mene!
First things last, I thought that Fever was excellent, not excellent in the 'I have to pee my pants while jumping up and down sqeeeing' excellent, but still very good.
I've heard several complaints as to why the spaceship would have come to life with Clark and the necklace, but otherwise only came to life with the key. Frankly, I think it should be obvious that the kryptonite did it. Sure, Clark being in trouble was a factor, but I think the ship also reacted to the kryptonite. Maybe it kick started the ship or something, I dunno.
I've been of two minds about the whole Lana/Chloe/Clark thing, and I've come to a conclusion that they're all pretty much screwed up the ass on this one, and screwed with some very large things, maybe a pineapple or equally large pointy thing. In any case, I don't really think Lana was being a bitch, and even if she was, she's not going to be any happier than she would have had she not done what she did. Okay yes, she found out about Chloe's feelings for Clark, but couldn't that have very well have made her realize how much she herself did care for him? Okay, so it was a bad thing that she didn't say anything about Chloe, but is it really her job to? Does the fact that Chloe cares for Clark make her feelings any less relevant? (and no snide remarks on that one, thank you very much)
I have to agree that when Clark said 'Lana', it was just because she was the last person he had seen, and was probably just remembering that. I think he does have genuine feelings for both girls, but since he has no evidence (he was unconscious for it after all), he has probably half written her off. He did notice that she looked down, so there is hope for her. Of course, being equally happy with either set-up, I am in a conundrum, but such is life, or imaginary life anyway. :p
My one major question with Fever that I really want to know is whether or not everyone else in the hospital made a miraculous recovery as well. Did the hospital suddenly become very empty of sick people? From what I saw, it didn't look like it, but there are two possible explanations that I can see for this. The first possibility is that because the ship had 'connected' with Martha the first time, maybe because she was connected to Clark, it would naturally home in on her again, or it could even be linked to Clark's will in who to heal, which makes a kind of sense. The second possibility, the one that my brother thought up, and that I'm rather fond of, is that everyone in the hospital really was cured, but since the hospital didn't want to lose money, it had the staff 'fix' the problem. I could bust a gut imagining the nurses going through the rooms with bats and giving the patients 'special' medication, but I think it requires one be in a certain mood to find it funny.
Now, on the subject of Angel, I must applaud; the trick with the soul, the evil cordy, all just freaking great. Of course, it does raise questions about Cordelia. Is she possessed? If she is, is it by the First from Buffy? Is this evil gal really Cordy, or is it something else? Maybe the super being Cordy flipped a wig being so bored, and came back to earth as some evil superbeing, or maybe she created an evil clone or something, in order to test them. And what about Angel? Was that spell designed to retrieve his soul for a short time, for as long as he was in the cage, what? Maybe it was only designed to fool Lorn, but I don't think it was just some masking spell. And I do believe I must give a Squeeeee! to Faith returning.
What can be said of the new Buffy? How's about a hell yes! to the return of kickass Spike, funny Xander, snarky Anya, hilariously dopey little weasel boy, and the freakish army of mole people...er, Ubervamps. *wonders if lj allows umlauts*
A special shout out to whoever the hell was decent enough to have Willow have the whole spat with Kennedy the bitch goddess. Okay, I liked Tara, but who the hell thought up Kennedy? And who killed Giles and replaced him with downer man? Frankly, I think that's way more evil than anything the First has ever thought up.
