I got off of work early today. Four hours early, to be precise. In fact, the entire campus had to get off early, due to some sort of power problems this past weekend causing problems with the campus cooling controls. It was nice to get off early today, and I think I rather needed it. On the other hand, that's like $30 I didn't make, so I'm not sure exactly where to stand about it.
In other news, Penny Arcade, my favorite webcomic of all time, has just created a line of greeting cards that one can buy at their online store, using many of their keenest comics as the basis for the pictures on the fronts. As far as I can tell, they don't have anything written in them, but you can pay a little extra to type something up and have them printed with what you want to say, which is pretty cool. They even have premade themes of cards if one is so inclined. I'm quite inclined to the one with a guy kicking Gabe in the nuts. That one alone gives great new meaning to those sappy, "thinking of you" ones... I keep envisioning the uses for such cards, as well as what you would write in them.
Also, how much staring is allowed when pretty girls are involved? Say at a Starbucks when they are across the room and both of them are quite fetching? And is more allowed if it's the occasional prolonged glance versus the continuous, slightly creepier stare?
