I carved pumpkins with a bunch of other people last night. It's been so many years since I've carved one; I had forgotten how much fun it can be. My roommate and I shared a pumpkin, each of us carving a different face on one side. The results were quite keen. I had also forgotten how much fun pumpkin guts are to squish between the fingers. I must have sat there squishing pumpkin guts for a good five minutes. The simple pleasures of life are sometimes the best. It's also lots of fun to see the artistic vision of other people. No two people had anything close to the same pumpkin, and each of them was quite interesting. I want to do it again.
