Into the Dark

I've recently been listening to covers of Death Cab's "I will follow you into the dark". I don't actually like the original, but the covers are one and all amazing. Of course, the rather over-the-top nature of the song has made me want to give it new lyrics of a comical nature, playing off the dark theme. The first idea that came to me uses the same line of following one into the dark, but makes it about playing games in the dark when the lights go out. It suddenly turns a Romeo and Juliet vibe into something much sillier. I'm also mulling over lyrics about eating dinner. It would keep a similar rhyming scheme, and the word dark. I don't know why I find this idea so very amusing, but I keep at it. Maybe if I keep up with it long enough I'll post my new lyrics.
