So I randomly found the second song that I was thinking of. Somehow I had mentally combined the two songs, Rise Against - Savior and the other was Brand New - Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades. Not nearly the same, yet they both have a similar quiet/loud thing going. But over the course of like a decade or so I had mentally combined them into a single memory.
