Thank you Netflix for having Back to the Future. I do have to say though, while it's one of the best movies ever, if you ever actually take the time to think about it, a lot of things don't make sense. Time travel always makes for interesting stories, but it sure can lack cohesion sometimes. It was a little difficult to watch this time around. I'm not sure why, but while I still enjoyed it, I also noticed a lot more little things that bugged me. Like, if changing the past made him disappear, why did it take so long to start happening? And since changing the past can instantly change things, why when he came back did he not recall his new timeline as well as the old? Time paradoxes tend to be a dime a dozen in sci-fi, but they at least try to be consistent. What bugs me the most is that I couldn't just sit down and enjoy it without nitpicking. Come on, me, get with it!

oo, oo, oo!!!!! the one where SG-1 discovers that planet???? and at the end of the episode, they are trying to send a note through the stargate to tell their past selves NOT to discover the planet?? is that the one you're talking about? that is literally my favorite episode out of the entire SG-1 series!!! i want to say more, but i'm afraid of posting spoilers if it's NOT the episode you're talking about and you haven't seen them all. xD

i just looked it up. the name of the episode is '2010'. my ALL. TIME. FAVORITE. i want to watch it again. :P anyway, i'm thinking that's NOT the episode you mean, because the time travel aspect of that one is very subtle. you might be talking about 1969...

Groundhog Day is a great movie, too, yes. ^^

oh my gosh!!! i'd forgotten about that one! that's another favorite! i love it because of o'neill resigning and then kissing carter. xD

so since there's no spoilers for you, i can tell you what i love about 2010 is you get the total emotional harvest of the entire team dying for a super noble cause WITHOUT actually losing them permanently. xD the triumph is so palpable during the slo-mo scene of the note bouncing through the gate...i love it.

well, at the risk of sounding like a parrot, i usually prefer funny also. in the case of 2010, i can actually ENJOY that emotional-ness because they don't stay dead. xD i am not typically one for drama, especially SAD drama. x_x

i haven't seen the last episodes. i can't think what season i ended with, but it started getting a little too dark for me. i've actually been thinking about picking it up again, but i don't think it's on netflix anymore. :\
