I know I didn't give enough for everyone to answer my first question, but I just had to write this one. I'm going to give a scenario and I want people to comment on whether or not you think it could ever possibly work.
This is not my idea for a world domination 'plot', but I'm borrowing it for my purposes as it seems like a logical way to go if I really wanted to take things over. Alright, so anyway, say that it is not a single person who wants this goal of taking over, but a group, and that they are willing to let a plan they set in motion take decades, even generations, for it to work. In other words, these people have vision. Say also, that these people are the majority of bankers, so they have plenty of money in which to do anything they want. Now this is the part I'd really like to know the validity of: over the years, this group goes into hiding to avoid persecution from the law. They begin slowly to infiltrate, or create, groups of high influence. Being bankers, they control the major flow of money, and through bribery or greed on the behalf of others, they eventually recruit several vastly rich families of high standing. Using their influence, this group tries to create unrest between countries, paying a revolutionary here, stroking an ego there, sending racist literature there. Using their banks to good use, they sell weapons to all countries, all so they can create the need for a unified government or council, with them leading of course. Now say that any elected officials cannot be easily elected without the financial backing of this rich group, or they simply have blackmail. Would it be relatively simple over time to slowly have your plans put into action, especially if they sounded like they were for the good of everyone? What if these bankers and assorted people decided to call back all loans suddenly, and crashed all economies worldwide? Would it not then sound a good idea to have a worldwide and stable monetary system, such as a large scale Euro? And what of the oh so helpful rich families that come forward to help stabilize the economy? Would they not have some clout over this unified economy?

Could this ever be a possible plan? If not, what could be improved upon?
