A glimmering of thought

What am I thinking
of going downtown
where all the people live
always in the now
we'll see who wins
at this game here
we find ourselves home
is where I'm going
to find yourself alone
with them and theirs
is the way to go
and see who's knocking
at the door this time of night
the best time in the world
war is coming I think
we can make it
is the end coming
up here with me
likey that dress on you
think the color's wrong

was that trip we took

Said the little green man,
As I ran him down
In my big little van.
And as he went squish,
He said it again,

Then under the van,
He went with a bump
And he went with a wham!
And that was the last,
I saw of the ham.
I turned rather quick,
To see if the guy,
Had made it okay,
Or was food for the flies.
He made quite a site,
that green little man,
he popped like a grape,
under my van.
